Welcome to the Confirmation Preparation Program at St. William Parish!

 

The Confirmation Preparation Program is designed to aid teens who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Eucharist, to learn more about their Catholic faith and to complete their initiation into the Catholic Church by being confirmed.  Upon completion of the program, you will be received fully into the Catholic Church at the Confirmation Mass on TBD at St. William Church. 

 

Please note that the Archdiocese of Chicago recommends that students should begin the Confirmation preparation process no later than in 7th Grade and complete it in 8th Grade by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. We understand, however, that every family's situation is different, and we are ready to assist anyone who requests Confirmation preparation.

 

Parents will also be involved in the Confirmation preparation process. We will be holding formation meetings for parents to give them the knowledge to assist their children in the Confirmation preparation process. Also, each person preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation will be required to do 20 hours of volunteer work. We provide opportunities to do these volunteer hours in our parish. The purpose of this service is to help young people understand the need to help the weak, the elderly, children, and their parish community so that they can give God's love to others. 

 

The tuition for Confirmation Prep which includes the retreat and Confirmation Mass is $180.00 for the first year of preparation and $280 for the second year and can be paid in three installments. A $50.00 non-refundable administrative and book fee along with a copy of your baptismal certificate is required at registration. If you are under the age of 18, please have a parent or legal guardian accompany you to registration and complete the Parental Permission form. The classes will begin in September 2023.
